  • Stephen Yuen
    Chief Executive Officer

    Stephen Yuen is the Co-Founder and CEO of 18 Salisbury Capital, where he leads the firm’s fundamental research and risk management efforts. Stephen previously served as Head of Private Capital Markets at Mizuho Securities and was a portfolio manager at Credit Suisse and LIM Advisors, with experience across equity and credit strategies. He began his career as an analyst at Och-Ziff Capital Management and Goldman Sachs.


    Stephen holds a Bachelor’s degree in College of Social Studies from Wesleyan University, graduating with University Honors and membership in Phi Beta Kappa. He is also a recipient of the Freeman Asian Scholarship.

  • Masanori Takaku
    Chief Investment Officer

    Masanori Takaku is the Co-Founder and CIO of 18 Salisbury Capital, where he leads portfolio construction and investment strategy. He was previously a founding member of the Investment Department at Mizuho Securities and a Senior Portfolio Manager at Horizon Asset. Masanori began his career as a proprietary trader at Barclays Capital Asia and Citi Tokyo, specializing in event-driven, index rebalancing, and fundamental equity long/short strategies.


    Masanori holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Tokyo.

  • Terufumi Hamazaki
    Head of Japan Office

    Terufumi Hamazaki manages the Tokyo office of 18 Salisbury Capital. He was previously a Director in Global Markets at Mizuho Securities, working in both Hong Kong and Tokyo. Prior to that, he spent eight years in Equity Swaps and Equity Finance Trading at JP Morgan and Bear Stearns in Tokyo. Hamazaki began his career at Tyco International and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, where he held roles in corporate accounting and sales.


    He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, with a minor in Statistics, from Shinshu University.

  • Andy Ip
    Chief Operating Officer

    Andy Ip is the COO of 18 Salisbury Capital, overseeing all middle and back office operations. He previously led the operations departments at Legends Asset Management and MacroValue Investors, and began his career as an operations analyst at State Street and OP Investment Management.


    Andy holds a BA (Hons) from Leeds Metropolitan University and a Master of Finance in Investment Management from Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
